How
To Pick A Pro Dom/me
Dark Connections © 2003
Communicate
Be very clear and honest about your needs. You are paying for a special
experience so you should know up front exactly what you are getting
and what you are not getting. Keep in mind that most professional Dom/mes
do not allow any sexual contact. Ask for several recent photos if physical
appearance or wardrobe is important to you. Make sure there are no hidden
fees. If a Dom/me is vague about a particular subject or doesn't answer
questions to your satisfaction then move on.
Go
with your gut instincts
If something seems a bit "off" to you, it probably is. You
are meeting a stranger and allowing them to put you in a compromising
situation. Use your own discretion. Be cautious.
Discuss
privacy
Find out where you will be having sessions. Decide whether you want
to use an independent Dom/me or one who works in a house of domination.
The latter are generally more experienced and costlier but usually have
their own private dungeon. Make sure your personal information is kept
private.
Know
each other's limits
An experienced Dom/me will spend a great deal of time learning about
you and any health problems or physical limitations you may have. You
should be totally clear about which acts are not acceptable to you,
and you should also learn what your Dom/me's limits are. You should
discuss the use of safewords and aftercare. If he or she does not seem
interested in discussing limits, consider looking elsewhere.
Get
references
Checking references is highly recommended. Most people don't check references
because it puts them in an uncomfortable position where they have to
discuss personal issues with a complete stranger, but it is a great
way to learn about your potential Dom/me. Some Dom/mes might even ask
for your references. At the very least you should ask for references
just to see how the Dom/me will respond. |
