Do you currently have a sub or play partner:
Yes, I do. She has been with me for a year and half. Very interesting to begin training with someone who has never been with anyone in the scene, only in her mind. But, in the past, other personals have been with me for as long as ten years. I don't believe in training for short term relationships. I place too much of my heart and soul into them, establishing their place in the scene with me and not losing themselves in doing so.

Occupation: Professional Dominant and Massage Therapist Before you got into the field of professional domination, what did you do for a living? I was a data entry operator and an accountant. You are considered an icon to many in the bdsm community. In what ways has your celebrity status affected your life? Not much! I have always enjoyed the fact that my name precedes me, but it has never affected my head. Treating people the same way in or out of the scene, has kept it in focus, for myself for the 25 years plus, which I have enjoyed. But, for one thing I must say, I can share my knowledge with others and be respected for it. What a wonderful thing that can be!

As a Black Dominant, was it harder or easier for you to break into the business?
Much of the Bdsm World was very new to Americans at that time (not the gay world). Being that it was underground, there was no one or thing to tell me that I could not belong. The swinging world was interracial and I enjoyed this new style of playing. A lot of swingers were very curious as to my style of play. A wide open field of new recruits and some of them have ventured onto our lifestyle, with respect to our limits.

Approximately how many magazines and movies has your image been featured in over the years?
I can only say that I estimate about a 150 magazines and papers. Actually, only two films which were done in 1983. Of these none separately brought me the fame, in fact myself being seen over and over again, proving that I will be around for the long haul. So many times, people will appear and disappear, proving that there was no substance in their enjoyment of our community.

You were a slave for several years. What made you decide to become a Mistress and do you ever regret having been a slave?
If I was not a slave, I truly believe that I could not have developed into the person you see now. It was truly a plus and I would not change any part of it. The past allows you to understand the path upon which you travel today. Some people take the time to explore it and others toss it aside. When I found myself truly enjoying this world or lifestyle, I found myself looking inward for answers. After leaving my second Master I started to use a portion of my pleasures and that was my dominant side. Both of my Masters respected me for my dominant and submissive sides, which I played while in training with them.

You were trained in a very exclusive Old Guard House. Do these houses still exist?
It was NOT exclusive, it was just a time period, upon which people played or were trained. Old Guard comes from the gay motorcycle men who established the start of the leather scene in the U.S., very military and strict. This style is still in their hearts of the older players. In the "New Leather" community of today it seems to consist of free-wheeling, no holds, no solid rules players which has deteriorated our community.

Do you enjoy Bdsm on a non-professional level?
If I did not, I would not had been in the scene as long as I have. For 28 years, I have allowed the love for the scene to take me on many magnificent journeys . In fact, I play personally MORE than I do professionally.

What are your view on the seemingly endless proliferation of Pro Dommes on the internet? My personal opinion of this stands firm that the internet has destroyed the scene. Too much exposure to the wrong people who only see dollar signs, is killing us. What is your favorite place in the world and why? In fact two places, Maui, Hawaii and Tokyo, Japan. The first for it beauty and calm, the second for its speed and history. What is the best gift a slave ever gave you? My best gift is that, a gentlemen paid me for an over -night session back in 1981, which he never came out to do. We have remained friends, not seeing each other over all those years. I received gifts for special occasions, holidays and birthdays. I am still trying to make him collect on that, to this day. I have been tributed with tickets, wall art and especially my favorite, a signed "Ward" print. I find that the days of "real" slaves, are getting to be rare.

Can you shed some light on your current or future plans concerning your lifestyle?
The only plans I wish to express now is to teach or mentor upcoming person or persons in the scene, who truly express an honest and true interest, from their heart. We who have lived should feel a need to extend our knowledge in order that fewer mistakes would be made. I certainly wish I had the opportunity to do so in my early years.
